The Workforce & Business Development Program (W&B) at the Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC) offers a Car Repair Program designed to help eligible individuals maintain reliable transportation while pursuing employment, career training, or education. Reliable transportation is an important part of achieving career goals, and this program helps address transportation barriers that may prevent individuals from working, attending training, or completing educational opportunities.

Eligible participants may receive assistance with essential vehicle repairs based on program guidelines, available funding, and individual circumstances.

To qualify for the Car Repair Program, applicants must:
1.    Be employed or currently enrolled in an education or training program;
2.    Meet income guidelines at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines;
3.    Have a minor child; and
4.    Complete all required eligibility forms and provide supporting documentation.

Applicants must submit all required documentation before the review process can begin. Required documentation may include proof of income, employment or enrollment status,  household information, and other information necessary to determine eligibility.

Assistance through the Car Repair Program is based on eligibility requirements, priority of need, available funding, and program guidelines. Submission of an application does not guarantee approval or assistance.

*PLEASE NOTE*

You MUST provide all of the Required Documents listed on the application for it to be processed. The application will be submitted once all required documentation has been provided.  The Workforce Innovations and Opportunities Act is not an entitlement program, and approval is based on priority of need, funding availability, and suitability.
