Supportive Services are available through enrollment in the Workforce Programs to help eligible participants overcome barriers that may prevent them from successfully completing training or obtaining employment.

The Workforce & Business Development Program recognizes that challenges outside the classroom or workplace can impact an individual's ability to achieve career goals. Supportive Services are designed to reduce those barriers so participants can remain focused on completing training and securing long-term employment.
 

Depending on individual needs, program eligibility, and the availability of funding, Supportive Services may include (but is not limited to) assistance with:
•    Transportation, including fuel assistance or other travel-related expenses.
•    Childcare expenses necessary to participate in approved training or employment activities.
•    Required work clothing, uniforms, or footwear.
•    Tools and equipment required for training or employment.
•    Books, supplies, and other required training materials.
•    Licensing, certification, and testing fees.
•    Physical examinations, immunizations, or drug screenings required for employment or training.
•    Other approved services that are necessary for successful participation.
 

Supportive Services are determined on an individual basis and are provided only when they are directly related to participation in an approved Workforce Program. Eligibility for these services is based on program guidelines, documented need, and the availability of grant funding.
